Following the cold front this week we had a great warm up and this included a pick up on the Spotted Trout bite. We launched our kayaks at the North end of Pine Island and fished creek mouths on an incoming tide. The Spotted Sea Trout bite was on fire. We caught over 30 Trout in less than three hours. Best bite was fishing the drop offs drifting and anchored. Lure of the day was a three inch white paddle tail rigged weedless on a weighted hook.

Fished with soft plastic paddle tails and rat tail baits in natural colors along the edges of the mangroves in the creek mouths around Bokeelia prior to the front passage. The Trout bite was very active with most of our team catching some solid fish. Best bite was with the moving tide and fishing pods of mullet. Kayak fishing with Ocean Kayak Prowler 13's made it an easy paddle and we covered lots of water quickly which allowed us to fish areas we had not covered previously. Looks like light winds for this weekend so we'll be back out on the water targeting local Peacock Bass in the Cape Coral area.
